Live in two minutes. Really.

Viz is a standard WordPress plugin - no build step, no server access needed, nothing to configure before it works. Here's the whole setup, start to finish.

1

Create your free account

Sign up at app.vizwp.com. No credit card - the free plan covers one site, forever, and gives you the activation key the plugin needs.

2

Download & upload the plugin

Download the plugin zip from your dashboard, then in wp-admin go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, and click Install Now.

3

Activate & connect

Activate the plugin and paste your activation key when prompted. Viz logs nothing until it's connected - one free key covers one website.

4

Watch the data arrive

A Viz menu appears in wp-admin: a tabbed Dashboard, AI Crawlability, AI Readability, AI Visibility, AI Content Pipeline, AI Conversions, the Request Log, and AI Control. Data shows up from the very first request - most sites see their first AI bot within the hour.

5

Tune it (optional)

In Viz → Settings: toggle whether human visitors are logged, exclude logged-in admins, set proxy trust if you're behind Cloudflare so IPs resolve correctly, and control your retention window.

6

Go further (optional)

Open Viz → AI Content Pipeline and switch it on to get topic briefs from your own traffic (every plan includes them, plus one trial article). And in your dashboard at app.vizwp.com, the Integrations page connects Google Analytics 4 and Search Console read-only to add sessions and engagement on top of the referral visits and conversions Viz already captures on its own.

7

AI Conversions (on by default)

Viz → Dashboard → AI Conversions shows purchases, bookings, leads and sign-ups credited to the AI assistant that sent the visitor, captured from WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, WPForms, Fluent Forms, Ninja Forms, Formidable, MotoPress Hotel Booking, LearnDash, LifterLMS and user registration; report your own with do_action( 'vizwp_conversion', … ). Attribution uses one first-party cookie for AI-referred visitors only, set only with cookie consent (WordPress Consent API and CookieYes are honoured; Viz never shows a banner). In Viz → Settings you can switch off conversion recording, edit or disable the Landing Paths block, configure the agent contact endpoint at /ai-contact/ (its JSON schema is at /ai-contact/?format=json), and opt in to the daily AI digest email. History: 7 days on Free, 90 on Lite, 365 on Pro. See AI Conversions.

8

Agent tools (on by default)

Viz reads your site once into a business profile (what you sell, how people convert, your contact form fields) and uses it to generate WebMCP tools on every page: describe_business, contact_business and, on WooCommerce, the shopping tools. Requires HTTPS; nothing to write or configure. Under Viz → AI Conversions → Agent tools you will see a "Verified on homepage" pill once the tools are confirmed on your live homepage, and every tool call an agent makes. Settings → Agent contact endpoint and WebMCP tools switches either off. Purge your page cache after changing it and test logged out, or run the free WebMCP Check on your homepage to see the tools as a browser sees them. See Agent tools.

Good to know

Requirements & the fine print

Requirements

WordPress 5.8 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. Works with any theme and any hosting - shared, managed, or your own server. HTTPS for WebMCP tools.

Performance

The full logging pipeline adds about 2ms per request. If your database grows past 50 MB of Viz data, the plugin warns you and helps you trim retention.

🧱

Caching & CDNs

Viz sees every request that reaches WordPress. If a full-page cache or CDN serves a hit without running PHP, that request isn't logged - and a blocked bot could slip through. The built-in probe on the AI Control page detects this and gives you copy-paste .htaccess or Cloudflare rules to close the gap at the edge.

🔒

Your data

Everything is written to your own WordPress database first. Cloud sync to your Viz dashboard is controlled in Settings, and you can purge all local data with one click. See our Privacy Policy for the details.

📊

Seeing no data?

Check that your activation key is connected (Viz → Settings), and that a full-page cache isn't serving every request. Still stuck? Email shikhar@sortcamp.com - real humans read it.

🧹

Clean uninstall

Deactivate and delete like any plugin. Viz ships an uninstall routine that removes its tables and settings - no orphaned data left behind.

Step one takes thirty seconds.
